In this article, I share my thoughts on the random versus MRI-targeted prostate biopsy. I’m grateful my doctor recommended regular PSA testing even though I had no symptoms, a clear DRE, and a negative prostate biopsy. It turns out my cancer was in the final stage before breaching the prostate. Without monitoring, my cancer was free to grow undetected.
