Finding Your Voice in Prostate Cancer

I’m proud to have been a guest and panel member on “Finding Your Voice in Prostate Cancer.” A live event on LinkedIn hosted by Bayer and Movember. I had the pleasure of joining Ian and Judy, a patient and wife. Svetlana Kobina, Head of Medical Affairs Oncology at Bayer. And Robert Fung, Director Digital Health Program, Movember Foundation as the host.

It was an honour to share my prostate cancer diagnosis, lessons learned, and answer questions during this live event. I had no symptoms, a clear DRE, and in good health. But yet, my cancer was in the final stage before breaching the prostate. Without testing, my cancer was free to grow undetected. Men, please don’t wait for symptoms before seeing a doctor.

Below is the highlight video, only 2 minutes and 20 seconds long.

I’m grateful for the interview and the opportunity to share my prostate cancer diagnosis and lessons learned. You can listen to all my interviews under Gogs’ Interviews.

If you’re newly diagnosed with prostate cancer and live in Canada 🇨🇦 please request a free Reef Knot Kit from Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada. Each kit contains a copy of my book, Prostate Cancer Strikes: Navigating the Storm. For more details, please read the Announcement in my local paper.

  1. Great work Gogs. It is so powerful to hear you speaking out on Prostate cancer. As you said in the video, ‘the most common symptom of prostate cancer is probably no symptom at all’. Guys get yourselves checked, please do not assume that changes in your urinal flow or erectile dysfunction is all down to getting older. If you’re in the high risk group have your regular checks done.

    1. Thank you so much, Cheri! It’s always such a pleasure to hear from you! I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to be on the Bayer panel. I hope many men and their loved ones will benefit from watching. Thanks again, my wonderful friend.
